The Baltimore Ravens have announced that they are joining the NFL’s Global Markets program, which gives teams exclusive rights to market themselves in different countries. In exciting news for UK Ravens members, the team has chosen the UK as their first international market.
What this means is still somewhat uncertain. The team has only just begun formulating its plans. At the moment they intend to be in the UK at least twice a year, possibly once around the Draft and again around one of the London games – but that is far from certain.
One thing it doesn’t affect is the team’s likelihood of participating in international games: that’s something for the NFL’s schedulers. However, it is possible that, when they do play international games, it’s more likely that the Ravens will be in London. We’ll see.
The team’s first activity in the UK will be at the 2025 NFL Draft. Together with the UK Ravens, they are taking over The Raven pub at Tower Bridge in central London. There will be a Draft party and one of the team’s picks will be announced live from the pub by a member of the UK Ravens!
