In recent weeks, we’ve been rethinking how the UK Ravens is run, and talking with as many people as possible about how to improve the group for everyone. One criticism has been that it isn’t clear who runs the group or what exactly it does. While this is the result of the organic nature of how the group has grown, the UK Ravens is now too large for us to wait for people who want to help out to volunteer. Recent events have made clear that we need a structure for how decisions are made.
As a first step, those of us named below are forming an interim committee to determine the future of the UK Ravens. It includes people who have not previously been closely involved in running the group, so that we can include more perspectives. Our objective is to work towards a committee approved by the membership, and a constitution for the UK Ravens, to come into effect in the off-season.
In the meantime, we will be going ahead with the new community structure for the WhatsApp groups that was discussed here a couple of weeks ago.
