UK Ravens announce new structure

We’re pleased to announce a new structure for the UK Ravens, designed to give the group strong foundations for the 2026 season and beyond.

Our purpose remains the same: to grow and connect the Baltimore Ravens fan base across the UK and Ireland by providing welcoming, well-run spaces for engagement and events. We will continue to operate on a non-profit basis.

As the UK Ravens has grown, it has become clear that we need a more formal and transparent structure. Members quite reasonably want to know how the group is organised, how decisions are made and how they can get involved. An interim committee was set up to work through those questions, and we would like to thank everyone who served on it for their time and support.

The structure

We are establishing UK Ravens Limited as a non-profit company, which will ensure transparency around the use of any funds and protect volunteers from personal responsibility for any debts. The company has been incorporated, and we are finalising the documents and policies needed for the new structure.

The following committee members have been appointed:

    General Manager: Shane Richmond
    Treasurer: George Message
    Marketing Lead: Ian Demain
    Events & Merchandise: Darren Foster
    Community Lead: TBC

The following advisory board has been appointed to assist the committee:

      Chair: Dave Cressey
Members: Michael Brown, Harriet Collins, Ashley Fallady, Jake Smith, Gaz Poole, Erin Portsmouth, Kyle Taylor.

      How to get involved

      • We’re looking for help running a UK Ravens TikTok account. Someone with knowledge of the platform would be ideal.
      • As the season approaches, there will be more opportunities to help out with things like organising meet-ups and supporting events.
      • If you have other ideas for how you can help, please get in touch.

      What happens next

We are now drafting the documents needed to support the new organisation, including the Articles of Association, a Code of Conduct for community spaces such as WhatsApp, and eligibility criteria for future committee roles. We will publish these on the website once they are finalised.

We will also add a page to the website introducing the committee and advisory board, along with explanations of their roles.
